1 Peter 5:7 Card for the day

My computer was down for a couple days so I was not able to post the next card for the day, chosen at random. Here is the card from yesterday:

1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Prayer: O Lord, help me to understand the reasons for your chastening.

This one hits me very personally, as I am sinking, financially and do not know why the Lord is not blessing me, financially. Why am I about to lose my home? Where will I live with virtually no job? How do the homeless live? I don't know how to be homeless and battle the fear of the Lord allowing me to go there. I hope. I pray. I lean on His Word and promises.

Any thoughts on this, anyone?

Matt. 5:3 Card for the day

Here's your card for the day:

Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Keep me humble, dear Lord, when I am faced with undeserved problems. Also keep me meek, so that the love of Christ will shine through me to others.

Psalm 91:14 "Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."

Lord, help me always to look to you in any difficult situation, knowing that whatever my need, you will in some way supply it.

2 Peter 2:9 Card for the day

I will be posting "cards" on a regular basis...not quite every day, though. These cards are one of my favorite posessions, and come in a pretty, clear box. They were given to me around 20 years ago and each card has a scripture and a prayer related to that scripture. These cards are 100% picked at random, neither from the front or the back but from somewhere in between.

This is the first one posted.

2 Peter 2:9
"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations."

Prayer: Dear God, help me to withstand the temptation of self-righteousness, and all other temptations that keep me from knowing your will.

I find this quite interesting, considering the last post I made!

Cross dressers and spirituality

Hi readers and fellow bloggers,

I have been praying about the Lord prompting me to get back to my writing, asking God for direction. In the past two days, I have received emails, seemingly out of nowhere, from men who wear women's lingerie. One man asked how I felt about it - what my opinon is of him liking to wear women's underwear. The other simply emailed me, stating he liked my site. I responded with thankfulness, and chose a card out of a box of cards that I have, that have scripture on one side and a prayer relating to that scripture on the other side. (My family and I each pick a card a day and reflect on its message...different blog subject, I know.)

So, I've responded with my best judgement which basically is that I am not here to judge. I am not here to condemn. Jesus is not in the condemning business, but rather is in the business of giving us direction, through the written Word, as to how to live our lives in a way that is best for us. I encourage these men to look for the answer in the Bible, through regular study, and pray about their question about cross dressing. The Bible instructs us in vague ways, it seems, sometimes. Therefore, if one is doing something that they think might be against what God has for them, then through prayer, God will reveal His personal plan for their lives and will either let them know that cross dressing is NOT His will, or it is a perfectly acceptable thing to do as long as it is not hurting someone or causing someone to "stumble".

Please give me your thoughts!

Old Favorite Bras

Don't you just hate it when you want to buy a new bra in your favorite style, only to find out that it has been discontinued, and you can't find it anywhere???

Well, I've caught onto something. I had some new bras, still with tags and very well stored away from a physical lingerie store that I had in 2006. I recently put some of those items up on Ebay and the women are going wild finding their old favorites - and even at a huge discount.

So, tell me, what are your old favorites that you can no longer find? What are your current favorites? Note that most manufacturers discontinue bras at a pretty fast rate, these days. I know because I now have an on-line lingerie store. I know that the Goddess 35069 is a huge favorite and is almost now extinct. Had I known I would have purchased tons of them for resale, but am afraid it's now too late.

My idea is to be able to supply these old favorites to you - but I first have to know what they are so that I can hunt them down if they're available, and so that I can stock up on your current favorites.
